Taiwan shares open higher (Mar 10)
The Taiwan Stock Exchange's main index opened higher Wednesday than its previous close, moving up 27.11 points at 7,797.7 on a turnover of NT$2.06 billion (US$64.38 million).

The weighted price index gained 8.32 points, or 0.1 percent, to close at 7,770.59 Tuesday.


US dollar down in early Taipei trading (Mar 10)
The U.S. dollar was traded at NT$31.759 at 10 a.m. Wednesday on the Taipei Foreign Exchange, down NT$0.091 from Tuesday's close.
